Lady Breezy Interview #1

Who is the most influential artist now, and 10 years ago?
As of right now I would have to say that the most influential artist would be a toss up between Kanye & Jay Z. Kanye and Jay changed the whole sound of rap when they dropped the blueprint and they continue to innovate and change the game today.

Why is there so much feuding in the world of hip hop?
Hip hop is competitive and I think some of that comes with the territory. I don’t believe in the beef tho. I think that you can be competitive and have fun and be respectful at the same time.

Nas claims "hip hop is dead" what is your opinion?
Everyone has an opinion. I respect his but I think hip hop is far from dead.

Do you think music that is enjoyed more for the beat or for the words, and why?
Different people listen for different things. Some people just like the beat others like the words and some people like me like both. But honestly the beat is the first thing you hear so if the beat is wack, you wont take the time to listen to the words.

Why did you start making music?
To express myself in a positive way.

 What inspires your inspiration?

Absolutely. If anything the passion just grows.

I’ve been rapping since about 9 or 10.

Did someone have to push you to make music?
 No.

 Will you ever retire?
 I have no idea.

Does going platinum matter to you?
Yes but no. Everyone would love the honor of having a platinum plaque but I love music regardless.

How do you feel about bootlegging?
 It’s apart of life.

Are you the best at what you do in your opinion?
Of course. But I have room for improvement.

Sales matter but it’s not the only thing.

Who is your favorite rapper and why?
